State University, 1987
Grant began his racing career in 1990, in the SCCA's Showroom
Stock GT Class. After finishing second in the regional championship
his first year, Grant decided to try national racing. After several

'best of the best' in national road racing in 1995. In 1996, Grant
had another competitive year winning additional races, setting
a track record and gaining two pole positions, including The Runoffs
pole for the 1996 national championship races. Grant has several
notable wins in his career, including endurance race wins at Summit
Point and the ITS class win at the 24 Hours of Nelson Ledges for 1994. In 1997 Grant
again won the Northeast Division championship and committed to
8 of 10 World Challenge Pro races. He placed the highest among
the privateers in the series, earning 7th in the Pro Season Championship.
In addition to his driving duties with Whirlwind Racing, Grant

Bill Scott Racing and Skip Barber Racing schools. Grant is also
retained as a testing consultant for various automotive products
manufacturers and performance tire companies. Grant, a Pennsylvania
native, is currently employed as an electrical engineer for the
Department of Defense. In his spare time, he enjoys playing volleyball
in several leagues and participating in triathlon sports. He is
an accomplished musician and has been an avid shooting enthusiast
