Governor Ehrlich’s Attorney General, Ed MacVaugh will lead the office in it’s core responsibilities: Legal advice for the Governor and General Assembly, consumer protection for all Marylanders, enforcement of Maryland’s securities and environmental laws, aggressive prosecution of criminal appeals. |

Ed MacVaugh, as the next Attorney General, will help the whole of Maryland’s government grapple with the impending budget crisis, giving timely advice to agencies faced with reducing staffs, deferring services and postponing commitments. |

Ed MacVaugh will be fair when dealing with issues such as the imposition of the death penalty. Race, religion and economic status will have no bearing on issues related to the Attorney General’s office. |
